Learning at The Rooms is an accessible and inclusive cultural literacy program designed to empower adults who may be experiencing barriers to learning. The program helps to increase learner confidence in a safe, trauma-informed space and is ideal for organizations with existing literacy programs.

The first session takes place at your organization, where we review what to expect when visiting a museum. Participants are provided with a workbook that uses clear language and design principles. The second session happens at The Rooms one week later, where we visit the exhibitions, and classroom for a hands-on activity.

All participants are treated with refreshments in the Café which overlooks downtown St. John’s and the Narrows. An admission day pass will be provided to all learners at the end of the program.

This is a free program. For more information and to arrange dates for your group, please contact Anne Pickard at annepickard@therooms.ca

Learning at The Rooms is supported by the generous donation of Tom and Susan (Kent) Foran Family Foundation.
