In Their Own Words: Life for Labrador Students at Residential School

Following Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s formal apology to the former students of residential schools in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2017, a team was sent to Labrador, St. John’s and Ottawa to gather stories from those students.

This exhibition combines artifacts, artworks and archival material to tell the story of those former students, through their own eyes and in their own words.
