Josephine (Williams) Murphy (March 8, 1943 – April 25, 2018) was one of twenty-one children born to Patrick and Mary Williams. The family lived on New Pennywell Road in St John’s. As an adult she reflected at her childhood and created these vibrant paintings. They capture her family’s everyday life from the 1940s to 1960s, preserving vivid childhood memories.
