Spring Break Fun at The Rooms!

Make The Rooms a must see stop during Spring Break!

With FREE admission for kids 12 and under, it’s the perfect place for families to spend a day exploring, creating, and connecting. Drop in for daily art activities (1 – 4 pm), spot miniature creatures in the Connections Gallery, experience colour like you’ve never seen in Jordan Bennett: Souvenir – an exhibition that will appeal to visitors of all ages!  When you’re ready to recharge, the café is waiting with lunch, snacks, and a view that makes the whole visit feel like a treat.

Daily:

• Unusual visitors! (All week long during opening hours, Level 3) – Miniature creatures are hiding all over the Connections Gallery! Can you find them all? Take a guess, fill out a ballot, and enter for chance to win a prize draw!
• Explore must‑see exhibitions including 10th Province, Jordan Bennett: Souvenir and Meagan Musseau: A’tukwaqnm wjit wtoqan, plus beloved favourites that always spark curiosity.
• Ahoy! How many pieces go into a 16-ft LEGO ship model? Come find out!
• Kids, Come, Create! Drop-in craft stations for kids. Everyday 1-4 pm. All materials supplied.
• Take a breather in the café — enjoy lunch or a snack with one of the best views in the city.
• Pick up a scavenger hunt at the front desk — perfect for curious kids (and grown‑ups).
• Soak in the view — a moment of calm between adventures.
• Grab a souvenir at the gift shop — a little something to remember your visit.

Special kid focused workshops will also be offered throughout the week! (Advance registration required)

April 10 -12 – Game On: Classic Games and Cards (Starting Friday at 5 pm – running all weekend long during open hours). Grab a deck or board, take a seat with friends, and have a time! A selection of classic games with instructions on offer to try. Cards, crib, checkers and more! 

Kids, Come, Create! Drop-in crafts 1- 4 pm every day. Ideal for kids ages 4+

MONDAY - Animal Mash Up! Eyes, ears, hooves, feet, flippers, and wings - make your own unique animal creation!
TUESDAY – Birds in a Tree, Whales in the Sea - Create your own paper bird or whale. Learn some new origami skills!
WEDNESDAY – Collage & Frottage – Experiment and play with materials to create a unique mixed media artwork.
THURSDAY – Rare Birds - Stellar Sea Eagles, Pink footed Geese, Wood Ducks… cut, assemble and colour a rare bird that’s uniquely yours.
FRIDAY – Fly into Spring – Make a mobile full of birds and butterflies
SATURDAY - Animal Mash Up! Eyes, ears, hooves, feet, flippers, and wings - make your own unique animal creation!
